Application Procedure
Every student goes through an interview where we ask questions about their academic, social background and cultural values. To gain a deeper understanding the students will be asked to explain decision making and behavior in certain situations which may happen in life and may reveal their views towards basic and/or crucial notions.
Scholarship Procedures
Step 1
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Meritocracy Scholarship, students must:
• Be a resident in the state of Texas.
• Demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and initiative.
• Have a clear vision for their future and the impact they wish to make.
• Be committed to continuous self-improvement and community involvement.
• Meet the academic standards set by The Compass School, our educational partner.
We look for students who stand out not just in academics but in their ability to lead and inspire others, making a difference in their schools and communities.
Step 3
Review and Selection
Our Scholarship Review Committee carefully evaluates each application based on academic performance, leadership qualities, community involvement, and future potential. Each applicant is reviewed holistically, with a focus on how they exemplify merit and align with our core values.
Our partnership with The Compass School allows us to ensure that selected scholars will have access to high-quality, accredited education tailored to their needs.
Step 5
Ongoing Support and Growth
Our commitment to scholars doesn’t end with the awarding of the scholarship. Throughout their time with The Compass School, students will have access to:
• Customized education tailored to their interests and future goals.
• College and career preparation services, including test preparation, admissions counseling, and career guidance.
• Extracurricular opportunities such as clubs, leadership programs, and arts courses that help develop well-rounded individuals.
• Wellness programs for both students and their families to ensure personal and academic success.
Scholars are encouraged to stay engaged with our community, participate in alumni networks, and continue their journey of growth and leadership.
Step 2
Application Process
The application process for the Meritocracy Scholarship involves the following steps:
1. Submit Your Application: Complete our online application form, which includes basic personal information, academic records, and a personal statement. Your personal statement should highlight your achievements, aspirations, and how you plan to make an impact in the world.
2. Letters of Recommendation: Provide at least two letters of recommendation from teachers, mentors, or community leaders who can speak to your leadership, character, and accomplishments.
3. Submit Supplemental Materials: If applicable, submit any additional documents or portfolios that demonstrate your achievements, such as awards, creative work, or community projects.
Step 4
Awarding the Scholarship
Once selected, recipients will be notified via email and awarded their scholarships. The scholarship funds can be used to cover tuition and educational expenses at The Compass School or to support other academic-related needs, such as test preparation or extracurricular activities.
Additionally, each scholar will receive personalized academic counseling and support from The Compass School, preparing them for college and future career opportunities.
